Facilities
The Physical Plant Department is a component of Campus Enhancement and is responsible for all upkeep and routine maintenance of all buildings and grounds at both the University as well as the David Lipscomb Campus Schools which serves students from kindergarten through high school. The main office of the Physical Plant Department is located in the lower level of the Student Activity Center across from Dugan Baseball Field. The department is under the direction of Tom Wood. Tom originally came to the University as Director of Campus Construction. In that capacity he has directed over 40 million dollars in new construction as well as renovations to existing structures. In 2009 there was a restructuring of departments. As a result of this reorganization The Office of Campus Enhancement was instituted and both the Physical Plant Operations as well as all construction activities are now centered under the direction of Tom Wood as the Director of Campus Enhancement.
The Campus Enhancement Department is comprised of approximately 100 staff members with expertise in a multitude of disciplines and trades including Special Projects, Campus Planning, construction Management, Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Carpentry, Landscaping and Housekeeping.
